Emails should be preference based
There should be a digital preference system in which students can choose what they receive via email. Psych majors don’t need to know about the mathematics colloquium. York residents don’t need to know about Potomac parking.

I agree! The number of emails I receive on a daily basis is so high that I don't often read them all. This could cause students to miss an important message.
Also, it seems like those who are sending emails to all students don't take the time to read over their emails before hitting send. This leads to extra emails being sent as corrections.
