Let our IDs work for every dorm and push back sign in time

We are all students at CNU, so why not let our IDs work to get into every dorm on main campus? I visit other dorms frequently and it's extremely frustrating to have to wait for someone who lives in that dorm to use their card to open the door. Also, I don't think CNU students should have to get "signed in" to a dorm at all, but I'd compromise with just pushing back the sign in time two hours.

I am an FDA on campus and if you politely knock on the door, we will let you in right away, you just may have to wait in the lobby until you can get signed in (unless you live on campus and have a sticker).

Why would it be difficult to implement sign in hours starting at 10 if they already implement them starting at 8? The only thing that changes is the time... And 8 pm is quite early for college students to have to be signed in to residence halls.

These are legitimate concerns that the Student Assembly has been working on. We have been working on a bill that would push back the sign in hours starting at 10pm. We have been running into some push back on this bill with different reasoning as to why this is not feasible or will be difficult to implement. The reason all keys to not work in all residence halls is a safety issue, and one that I do not believe will be compromised any time in the near future. I do not live on campus anymore but when I did I seem to remember all keys for residential students working to all residence halls during the daytime hours and being restricted to only your particular hall in the evening. If this no longer the case, then we can absolutely look into reinstating this policy.
