Baseball and Softball absolutely need stadium lights.
Sports like Men's Soccer get so much support because they have night games during the school week. I believe baseball and softball could achieve the same levels of excitement and attendance.
This past spring we got to host Conference and Regional tournaments, which is an incredible PR opportunity for CNU. We may not be selected to do this again because games had to be relocated or pushed to later days due to the sun setting and other games running long.
Gordon,
Our committee will looking into efficient ways of making this a reality. We’ll keep you posted with updates! Thanks for the post!

One way that would in the long run save CNU money would be to use solar energy to power the lights like they do for the call boxes around campus

The difficulty to overcome would obviously be funding, but this is no reason to be deterred.
We could set up "Meet and Greets" with potential donors and the two teams, fundraising exhibition games, even a fundraising game between the baseball and softball teams (playing softball) would be pretty entertaining. Both the teams also have decades of alumni that I'm sure would be willing to help in some capacity.
